This short version of the Inca Trail, after a brief train ride, begins on KM 104 of the Cusco-Machu Picchu railway. The trek from this point is about 16 km, on a route that allows you to enjoy different tourist attractions, as well as spectacular landscapes of the Andean mountains and sub-tropical forests. The climate along this route is pleasant, making this tour an unforgettable experience!.

- Your original passport with which you received your authorization for the Inca Trail, and your original student card (if applicable).If you have changed your passport since receiving the authorization, please send us the new number as soon as possible and bring both your current passport and a copy of the former one.

Day 1: Cusco – Km. 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes.
We’ll pick you up at your hotel at 6:30am, and with your group you’ll take the train that will transport you to kilometer 104, at 2200 meters above sea level. There you will begin your journey in a sub-tropical forest climate. After a three-hour hike, you’ll arrive at the impressive Incan archeological complex of Wiñayhuayna (2650 meters above sea level), where you’ll break for lunch. From there you’ll continue the trek toward Machu Picchu and descend into the town of Aguas Calientes, where dinner and lodging are included.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco
After a pleasant breakfast in your hotel, along with your group and guide you’ll visit Machu Picchu, tour the temples of the Sun and the Condor, see residential and ceremonial houses, terraces, fountains, and the entire organized city of Machu Picchu.
Finally, you’ll board the train in the afternoon to return to Cusco.
