(STARTING AND FINISHED IN AREQUIPA)
FIRST DAY:
08.00 Pick up at the hotel and departure from Arequipa (2325 m.a.s.l). We head along the asphalt road towards Yura, crossing Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, observing the incompatible vicuñas, llamas, alpacas. And migratory birds, to then arrive at Viscachani where we enjoy a Coca tea, to acclimatize the body, for the height. Continuing with the tour appreciating the tocjras, lagoons and wetlands and at the same time observe some migratory birds such as Flamingos, ibis. Then arriving at the highest point of the Patapampa route (4830 masl), also called the viewpoint of the Volcanoes, since from there you can see the Volcanic chain in particular: Hualcahualca, Sabancalla and Ampato, and then descend to the Town of Chivay. (3600 masl) Lunch. And Accommodation at the Hotel. In the afternoon Optional visit to the Thermal Baths of La Calera, where we will stay for a period of two hours approx. These Baths are made of thermo-medicinal waters, which exceed 40 degrees Celsius; good for bodily diseases. At night, we will enjoy a dinner accompanied by a Folkloric peña. Note:* The visit to La Calera is only for those passengers who have their hotel located in Chivay.* The folkloric dinner is also for those passengers who have their hotel located in Chivay, otherwise the hotels located in Yanquecuantan with a restaurant.
SECOND DAY: CRUZ DEL CONDOR
In the morning (05.30) breakfast at the hotel. To then leave for the Cruz del Condor where we will stay for a period of 2 hours approx. Place where the depth of the Colca Canyon can be appreciated in its greatest dimension and also the flight of the Condor at a short distance. On the return we will observe archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque in the latter we will make a stop, where we can observe its typical churches, its artisan center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others. Arrival in Chivay and Lunch. Departure to Arequipa 17:00 approx. Arrival Arequipa.
