Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Chikiska
Pick up from your hotel at 4:00 am. Then drive to Cachora. Cachora get to town for a little time that we have for our breakfast. Then we start the hike reaching 2,915 m from Capuliyoc a view as beautiful as the snow-covered peaks and Padrayoc, WaynaCachora and initial points of view over the Apurímac valley. To then descend towards the Coca camp, where the climate becomes noticeably warmer and the flora and fauna is changing. Finally we arrive at 1550 Chikiska m.s.n.m. located beyond the Apurímac River, which we are going to establish. Overnight.
Day 2: Chikiska – Rosalina Beach – Marampata
After breakfast on a steep road, this day will be more exhausting and strenuous. Arriving in Santa Rosa, which is on the other side of the river, from where the Chunchullumayo lunch. Throughout the walk we will observe many orchids and wild flowers and birds. Continuing on our way we arrive at our second camp. Overnight.
Day 3: Marampata – Choquequirao – Marampata
The third day will be the visit to the Choquequirao complex, we have explored the ruins of Choquequirao. Our guide explained the history and importance of the site, as well as the various sites that this important complex is divided into. After you have free time to visit the different areas on your own. In the afternoon we return to our own camp. Overnight.
Day 4: Marampata – Santa Rosa – Chikiska
After breakfast we continue our journey home, which is equally difficult to reverse a steep path to the Apurimac River where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon arrival at our camp. Overnight.Day 5: Chikisca – Cachora – Cusco The day after walking to appreciate the canyon that forms the Apurimac River. We will take a new path that crosses the gorge of the canyon, where we will have an impressive view from WaynaQalli towards the canyon, considered the most spectacular in South America. When Cachora arrives our bus to return to the city of Cusco.
